| Big Toddle '07 28th June 2007 |  The Toddle on behalf of Barnardo's took place again this year, with 49 children and a multitude of adults took part, raising over £1000. |
| World Book Day 2nd March 2007 |  As part of World Book Day - the children were able to come to Nursery dressed as their favourite characters.They were also able to choose a book from our 'library' to take home to read. |
| Policeman Visit February 2007 |  Earlier this year we had a visit from a parent who is a policeman. He had a chat with the children and they all got to try on his helmet, look at the handcuffs and sit in the police car. |
| Big Toddle 27th June 2006 |  Last year the children took part in the sponsored Big Toddle in aid of Barnardo's.Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, we raised over £1500 - can we beat it this year ? |
| Sainsbury's Active Kids Spring / Summer 2006 |  Last year we collected the Active Kids vouchers from Sainsbury's. Again, thanks to the generosity of parents / carers we collected 5887 vouchers - with which we we able to 'buy' a selection of balls, hoops, bean-bags and an activity parachute. |
| Tesco Sports Spring / Summer 2006 |  We also managed to collect some Tesco vouchers with which we were able to 'buy' some bean-bags and targets which will help with not only the childrens' physical skills but also their literacy and numeracy skills. |
| Fire Engine Visit March 2006 |  Last year we had a visit from Colchester Fire Service. The firemen gave the children a tour of the engine and they were given the opportunity to try on the uniforms and have a go with the hose !! |
| Paramedic Visit Easter 2006 |  Last year we had a visit from the Paramedic Service. The children were given a brief talk about the job of a paramedic and what to do if they see an accident. |
| Zoo Lab Visit December 2005 January 2006 October 2006 |  Zoo Lab have paid us a number of visits over the last couple of years, bringing a selection of animals for the children to see and hold. Animals have included snakes, rats, mice, rabbits, giant african snails, cockroaches, stick insects and not forgetting of course the tarantula spider. |
